ACADEMICS and EXPECTATIONS:

We do not have a lot of rules, but we do have HIGH expectations for your child.  See rules below:

  1. School is our #1 priority and NO student will be allowed to participate if their GPA falls below a 2.0 and/or if they have an “E” on their report cards. (COUNTY RULE!!!)
  2. NO DRUGS or ALCOHOL!!!
  3. Respect towards parents, coaches, faculty, and fellow students is mandatory! Any dispute with teachers should be handled after class and preferably by the parent.
  4. Cheerleaders will be expected to show up to the designated practice area dressed and on time. If you are unable to make practice you are expected to contact the coaches before practice via cell phone.
  5. Cheerleaders are not permitted to stunt or tumble without proper supervision. (A cheer coach must be present.) Cheerleaders may cheer without the coach being present. (no jumps or stunts)
  6. Cheerleaders are responsible for keeping parents aware of fundraisers, games, and practices.
  7. Fighting at school or practice is strictly prohibited and will cause the squad to miss cheering from the sideline or competing at the following game or competition.
  8. Every study hall, practice, game, fundraiser, and competition is MANDATORY. (Any exception will be worked out between the parent, student and coach.)

PRACTICE SCHEDULE/SEASON DETAILS:

You can see our schedule by clicking the calendar link.

SQUAD PLACEMENT:

We have 2 Squads – All Season Cheer Squad and the Competition Squad. There will be 2 competition squads JV and Varsity. Both competition squads will perform at their skill level. NOT BY GRADE OR YEARS ON THE SQUAD!!

Competition Squad placement will be hand picked by Coach Landa.

UNIFORMS:

Every cheerleader will be issued a WildCats cheer uniform. The uniform consists of the following:

Ladies : Skirt, top, t-shirts, shorts, sweat and jogging suits, socks, shoes, and hair bows.

Men : Pants, top, t-shirts, shorts, shoes, sweat and jogging suits, and socks.

The complete WildCat uniform (Skirt/Pants, and top) must be returned at the end of the season. If the uniform is returned damaged or lost, you will be charged a replacement cost of $270.

*Dates to be announced for uniform fittings and distribution.

FUNDRAISERS:

It is mandatory that every squad member participate in all fundraising activities. Funds are used to help offset the cost of uniforms, competition entry fees, and other WildCat activities throughout the school year.

Last but not least, We welcome any ideas or suggestions for the cheerleading program! We are a family working together with the common goal of raising productive young adults. Cheerleading is a home away from home and we do so much during the year and hope that you can volunteer any time to show your support.
